Food & Nutrition

At Jollies House we realise the importance of a healthy and balanced diet. This is why we provide wholesome and nutritious food that is cooked here on site in our very own kitchen. We use fresh produce and work hard to support the local community, understanding the importance of the environment and reducing our carbon footprint. We also aim to grow our own fruit and vegetables in the garden which gives the children the opportunity to be a part of this process.

We appreciate and value cultural backgrounds and dietary requirements. We work closely with parents/carers to ensure individual needs are catered for. We are a nut free setting.

We work closely to meet all dietary requirements, including medical and cultural needs. We cater for allergies and will ensure that we make time to sit together to put a food plan in place that meets your child’s needs and puts your mind at ease also.

Breakfast is served between 8:00am and 8:30am, with lunch at 12:00pm and tea at 16:30. We also provide a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack. We offer the children water and milk. Water is constantly available and accessible for the children throughout the day. We make fresh fruit smoothies with the children on a regular basis.
